Whenever I hear any Bon Jovi songs I will be reminded of that time period that I visited a Bon Jovi concert on Saturday 6th July 1996. The concert in the Milton Keynes Superbowl was at the end in the mammoth These Days tour that going on 26th April 1995 in the Andheri Stadium Bombay, India and ended on 19th July 1996 at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
Tom Petty
It took my boyfriend and myself over Three hours they are driving to Milton Keynes and we had to queue for 4 hours until 2pm to find yourself in the Superbowl. It was one particular quirky English weather days, one minute abdominal muscles hot sun was beating down on us and the next there were torrential freezing cold rain.
Whenever we had the world we had arrived able to get a place in front from the stage but as more fans arrived and blocked us in I came to be claustrophobic and worried i would not be in a position to escape to the loo during the next 8 hours. I left Mark hugging the front with the stage and escaped to take a seat on the hillock where I got a great check out the proceedings since the support bands Seven, Gun and Joan Osborne performed.
The wedding being Joan Osbornes performance, she was great though the weather used to be quirky also it became pretty uncomfortable sitting on grass while soaked to the skin. I wandered round for a couple of hours and became more uncomfortable being a bloke took a pricy if you ask me and commenced to harass me despite being told i was with my boyfriend.
Seeing my discomfort a gaggle of Bon Jovi fans told the bloke to go out of me alone and talked about to become listed on them. That was lucky to me into two ways, one that it eradicated my stalker and yet another in this we had been in a marvellous position to observe the show, near to the stage but right - out of the main crush of fans.
It turned out just before 7.00pm and i also was feeling tired, very wet and shivering in the cold. I could not have been wetter basically had stood in a pool fully clothed. As I tried to warm my right now numb blue hands I was miserably wishing that we hadn't opted for navigate to the concert.
A couple of minutes later a helicopter arrived and very quickly afterwards I could see this rock band climbing inside the steps to the condition. I did a dual take at seeing Jon, he was put on a decent tan leather jumpsuit which gave the sense of him being naked from a distance.
The group roared to life and for A couple of hours my discomfort was forgotten as Bon Jovi launched right into a string of their hits including Always, It's My Life, You provide Love A poor Name, Someday I'll Be A Saturday Night and my very long time favourite Living On A Prayer.
Visualize a sea well over 60,000 fans joining along with the choruses, swaying, waving and showing up in air together. It turned out a magnificent sight don and doff stage as Bon Jovi rocked the Superbowl. I was enthralled together with the bands performance and stirred through the music and the interaction from your crowd.
I felt disappointed each time a fireworks display ended the magnificent performance Two hours on, but afterwards Bon Jovi reappeared with an air punching encore to round over show. I became still very wet and cold but warmed by way of a magnificent performance from your entire band. I absolutely recommend seeing Bon Jovi together and despite my discomfort I would has it yet again - it absolutely was worth it.
I have been previously watching videos through the 2008 Lost Highway tour and think that Jon Bon Jovi has still got what can be done. Bon Jovi are a great band and 12 years on I am still a big fan of Bon Jovi songs and hope that I get a chance to view them in concert again, but perhaps an inside concert!
P.S. As for my boyfriend I dumped him as soon as the show. I don't rate some guy that lets a female he's meant to value wander away automatically all night in the strange place and in a 60,000 plus crowd. He cared more details on receiving a place near the stage than my safety. I probably were left with a greater view than he did and I might see a loo while i wanted!
